Catalogs

The SMSU online catalog provides access to the collections housed on site.  This will include our general collection, reference collection, Raymond Brown collection, the John Paul II collection and reserves.  Items include books, audio-visual materials, and print journal holdings.  WorldCat searches libraries around the world, and enables you to discover other libraries nearby that may carry the title you are seeking.

Databases

Knott Library subscribes to a collection of databases that are particularly relevant for studies in theology and philosophy, as well as additional general subject sites for supplemental sources.

E-Reference

This page provides links to online reference sources such as the Gale Virtual Reference Library and the Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy Online.

Publication Finder

Locate titles of journals that are available in full text through various databases as well as links to Knott Library’s print holdings.

E-Books

Registered patrons will be able to browse and read online or download from our list of E-Books.  Our subscription service gives us access to thousands of titles of religious and academic texts including subjects such as philosophy, ethics, history of religions, Christianity, Judaism, religious texts, and more.
