The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree provides the knowledge and skills needed to begin the practice of priestly ministry. Most St. Mary’s students earn the Master of Divinity.
- Completion of the philosophical (30 credits), undergraduate theology (12 credits), and liberal arts (9 credits) prerequisites, as defined in the current edition of the Program for Priestly Formation;
- Completion of 122 graduate semester credit hours with a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.25;
- Successful completion of comprehensive examinations toward the end of a student’s course program;
- The program is designed to be completed in an (8) semester period.
