St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute will host Timothy George, Dean of Beeson Divinity School, and member of the editorial board of Christianity Today, for its Dunning Lecture on Friday, November 10 at 7:30 pm. His lecture “Where are the Nail Prints? Luther’s Road to Reformation Faith and What it Means for Us Today” will explore how to commemorate the Reformation with ecumenical purpose. This lecture is free and open to the public.
Dr. George is active in Evangelical–Roman Catholic dialogue, has chaired the Doctrine and Christian Unity Commission of the Baptist World Alliance, and helped produce the Catholic-Baptist statement, “The Word of God in the Life of the Church.” He has also written more than 20 books, is the general editor of the Reformation Commentary on Scripture.
