The Archives is pleased to offer online exhibits that will highlight its collections through the people, places, and events associated with our three sponsoring institutions.
This exhibit was created to celebrate the beatification in October 2020 of Blessed Michael J. McGivney, a Roman Catholic priest ordained for the Archdiocese of Hartford, founder of the Knights of Columbus, and alumnus of St. Mary’s Seminary & University.
The 100th anniversary of the death of Cardinal James Gibbons, the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s ninth archbishop, was observed on March 24, 2021. On such an occasion, it is only appropriate to look back on the career of this extraordinary churchman and leader of Maryland’s Catholic community, whose priestly ministry began at the start of the U.S. Civil War and ended 60 years later in the aftermath of the First World War and a global pandemic.
This page has been created to introduce visitors to some of the holy people who are members of the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s community of faith.
